If you’ve never booked a professional mobile detail before, you might be wondering what exactly you’re paying for. “Mobile detailing” can mean different things from different providers — some do a glorified car wash, others do a complete transformation. At Fast Lane Detailing Solutions, every package has a specific list of services, and we’re transparent about exactly what’s included at every price point.

How Mobile Detailing Works

Unlike a drive-through car wash or a fixed-location detail shop, mobile detailing comes to you. We arrive at your home, office, or wherever your vehicle is parked with a fully equipped setup — our own water supply, generator for power, pressure washer, vacuum, steam cleaner, polishing tools, and every cleaning product needed for the job.

You don’t need to provide anything. You don’t even need to be home. Just make sure the vehicle is accessible in a driveway or open parking area (tight garages don’t work well for us), and we handle everything from start to finish.

Package-by-Package Breakdown

Essentials Package (Starting at $175 for cars)

This is our entry-level detail — a thorough clean inside and out for vehicles in decent condition that just need a solid refresh.

Exterior:

• Full hand wash (no automatic brushes or machines touching your paint)
• Bug removal
• Tires dressed (that deep black, like-new look)
• Wheels and wheel wells detailed
• Door jambs cleaned
• Exterior windows cleaned

Interior:

• Full vacuum (seats, carpets, trunk, crevices)
• Compressed air blowout of cup holders, vents, and tight crevices
• Dashboard, console, and panels dusted and wiped
• Dashboard UV protection applied
• Interior windows cleaned

Time: About 1.5-2 hours

Deluxe Package — Most Popular (Starting at $235 for cars)

Everything in the Essentials plus deeper cleaning and paint protection. This is our most requested package and the one we recommend for most vehicles.

Everything in Essentials, plus:

• Clay bar treatment — Removes embedded contaminants from your paint that washing alone can’t get (industrial fallout, overspray, tree sap residue). Your paint goes from “clean” to “smooth as glass.”
• Carpets shampooed — Hot water extraction that lifts stains, dirt, and odors from carpet fibers
• Seats shampooed (cloth) or leather cleaned and conditioned (leather) — Deep treatment for your seat material

Time: About 2.5-3 hours

Superior Package (Starting at $405 for cars)

The full treatment. Everything in the Deluxe plus machine polishing and ceramic sealant. This is for vehicles that need paint enhancement or owners who want the highest level of finish in a single visit.

Everything in Deluxe, plus:

• Leather seats exfoliated — Deep cleaning for heavily soiled leather
• Single-step machine polish — Removes light swirl marks and enhances gloss across all painted surfaces
• Ceramic sealant applied — Lasts 3x longer than traditional wax, adds deep gloss and hydrophobic protection

Time: About 4-5 hours

Interior Only (Starting at $175 for cars)

Just the inside. Carpet shampoo, light stain removal, full vacuum, and surface cleaning. Choose this when your exterior is fine but your cabin needs attention.

Exterior Only (Starting at $145 for cars)

Just the outside. Full hand wash plus ceramic sealant application. A focused exterior clean with lasting protection.

Add-Ons for Extra Dirty Vehicles

Sometimes a standard package isn’t quite enough. If your vehicle has significant extra mess, we offer two add-on tiers:

• Hot Mess (+$35) — For pet hair, excess dirt, moderate kids’ messes. Gives your detailer extra time and tools.
• It’s Wrecked (+$65) — For heavily soiled vehicles that need significant extra cleaning time.

Your detailer may recommend an add-on after seeing the vehicle’s condition. We always check with you before adding anything to the bill.

What Mobile Detailing Does NOT Include

We’re upfront about what we don’t do:

• Headliner cleaning — Most headliners have a cardboard backing that can be damaged by wet cleaning. We skip this to avoid causing sagging or delamination.
• Engine bay detailing — Not included in standard packages. Contact us if you need this as a standalone service.
• Paintless dent repair, window tinting, or body work — We’re detailers, not a body shop.

Which package should I choose?

For most people, the Deluxe is the sweet spot. It covers both inside and out with enough depth to handle a vehicle that’s been driven regularly for a few weeks. If your car is in good shape and just needs a refresh, Essentials works. If you want paint correction and long-lasting protection, go Superior.

How do I know what size category my vehicle is?

We have five size categories: Car, Compact/Midsize SUV, Minivan, Truck, and Large/X-Large SUV/Truck/Van. Check our packages page for examples of what falls in each category. When in doubt, book the closest match and we’ll confirm before starting.

What if my vehicle needs more work than the package covers?

Our detailer will assess the vehicle when they arrive. If it needs an add-on (Hot Mess or It’s Wrecked), they’ll discuss it with you before proceeding. You’ll never be charged for something you didn’t agree to.
